In 1969, Sondra Phillips moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan, when her father took a position as a graphic designer for the Upjohn Company. She enjoyed growing up in the area, then moved to Ann Arbor to attend the University of Michigan, and afterwards to Chicago to begin her design career.
Sondra returned to Kalamazoo in 1991, and founded SKP Design, LLC, in 1996. In 2022, Sondra purchased a building in Otsego and she is thrilled to have a new showroom and studio to showcase furnishings, accessories, artists and artisans that inspire her creativity and design work.
Southwest Michigan has proven to be an excellent location to raise a family and to be centrally located for a variety of regions and projects. Sondra's work ranges from art commissions to restaurants, to offices of all sizes and types, and to residential projects of all types. The diverse client base has offered SKP Design a wide range of experiences as reflected in our design portfolio.
